lyrics
GROOVE A LITTLE
You call can call somebody "Captain",
Under pressure you can flip.
You can be a rock commando,
But you can't pilot the ship/pile up the shit.
Groove a little, baby.
Groove a little, now.
Groove a little, baby.
You might know what you want...
But I'll show ya how!
You can trip the light fantastic,
Become a space grotesque. Ahhh!
You can fossilize your thought-dreams
Behind a rusty desk.
Groove a little, baby.
Groove a little, now.
Groove a little, baby.
You might know what you want...
But I'll show ya how!
Cuz I was born to boogie!
You might know what you want...
But I'll show ya how!
You can read the works of Shakespeare...
You can read the works of Shakespeare...
You can read the works of Shakespeare...
You can read the works of Shakespeare...
You can read the works of Shakespeare...
You can read the works of Shakespeare...
You can read the works of Shakespeare...
You can read the works of Shakespeare...
You can read the works of Shakespeare...
You can read the works of Shakespeare...!

It's a tough thing to choose a top track from a set that includes such exquisite gems as the mysterious folk-blues of "Red Boat," and Medford's beautiful rendition of "Janine." But it's the crystalline version of (the usually nervy) "the Big (Myopian)" that takes the cake in the end. Carl Salbacka
Don't believe the name of their latest album; jangle-pop hooks and stacked grunge guitars are two of the Bay Area band's greatest gifts. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 16, 2023
